Job Summary

Cottage Health is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer Sr to develop and maintain course curricula and supporting training materials for assigned applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive course curricula and supporting training materials for assigned applications.
  • Design, build, and maintain the training environment to ensure seamless learning experiences.
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the assigned application team, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Train super users, credentialed trainers, end users, and new staff on application functionality and best practices.
  • Participate in the design, build, validation, testing, and implementation of assigned applications.
Requirements
  • Minimum: Associate's degree/Diploma in education, instructional design, computer sciences, information systems, or health care related field.
  • OR The equivalent of 4 years of progressively responsible work experience with an emphasis in education, instructional design, and/or clinical computer applications.
  • A combination of education and experience may be substituted for a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, computer sciences, information systems, or a health care related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or a combination of Associate's degree in Nursing and experience, for the Clin Doc and Optime Instructional Designer.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
  • Minimum: Epic certification must be obtained within 3 months after completing training.
  • Preferred: License or certification in related clinical field or information systems.
Technical Requirements
  • Minimum: Knowledge of web-based learning, instructional design models, and the ability to design print materials conducive to disparate learning styles.
  • Ability to use audiovisual equipment and apply the use of multimedia in presentations.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Visio, SnagIT, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Proven skills as an instructor/presenter and group facilitator, team player, and leader skilled in group facilitation.
Years of Related Work Experience
  • Minimum: 5 years of adult education, corporate training, or K-12 through post-secondary education teaching experience, or experience in a clinical or business area related to the Cottage Health application they will certify in; this must include 3 years of education/training responsibilities.
