About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Design Manager to join our Product Design team at ServiceNow. As a Product Design Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of products, acting as a mentor and manager to subordinates, and working closely with Product and Engineering teams to deliver strategic and tactical execution of product roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee a portfolio of products and act as a mentor and manager to subordinates
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to deliver strategic and tactical execution of product roadmaps
  • Assist in conducting user needs assessment, task analysis, and develop user profiles
  • Develop high-level task flow content and use storyboards and other design documents to communicate concepts and vision to others
  • Lead the team through rapid iteration of theoretical task scenarios, navigation map, flow, and state-transition diagrams to document design decisions
  • Oversee the team's work, including detailed mockups, prototypes, and behavior specifications
  • Understand the company's Design Systems, encourage their application, and contribute to their further development and maintenance
  • Participate in documentation development process, including user experience specifications, testing, and evaluation
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience managing people and/or leading design teams
  • 9+ years of experience in Product Design and/or Interaction Design field
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and technical problem-solving skills
  • An inspiring portfolio demonstrating the ability to lead teams and distill complex problems into elegant, holistic solutions based on human-centered design and research data
  • Experience in leading teams who are developing frameworks and principles to standardize and guide cross-team work and successfully bring a product design from conception to launch with minimal supervision
  • A growth mindset, actively broadening areas of inquiry and learning, and seeking new opportunities and challenges
  • Ability to articulate and champion design solutions based on human-centered design principles and research data while influencing product experience strategy across a particular business unit or product line
Preferred Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree or higher in Design, Design Communication, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent combination of education and experience in other related fields
  • Experience participating in the complete product development lifecycle of web and/or software applications
  • Experience in user experience design or industry experience (corporate, software, web, or agency)
