Job SummaryNuWell Network is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Leadership and Education Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for planning, developing, and supervising the activities of personnel who provide health care and nursing services to our clients. The successful candidate will have experience in Home Health and be accountable for ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Joint Commission standards and regulations. Key responsibilities include orienting and onboarding staff members, completing employee appraisals, and resolving issues involving employee disciplinary action and client care. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional nursing clinical assessment skills, customer service experience, and the ability to direct, lead, manage, and educate a Certified Nursing Assistant Program. Additionally, they will be responsible for initiating the plan of care, providing back-up support for those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skills, and preparing clinical and progress notes and summaries of care. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) and an active RN license in the state of Texas or Compact License. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience is required. The company offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including 2 floating holidays and 7 company holidays per year, as well as 10 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) after the 90-day probationary period. After 12 months of successful employment, the employee will be eligible for a total of 15 days of PTO annually. PTO does not roll over and will expire at the end of each calendar year.

Responsibilities and Duties

Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct staff
Possess exceptional nursing clinical assessment skills
Customer service experience and ability to deal tactfully with clients, staff, and community
Must be able to pass a background check
Must present a negative COVID-19 test
Possess ability to direct, lead, manage, and educate a Certified Nursing Assistant Program, closely collaborating with the Director of Nursing
Ability to build the program and comply with regulations and educational standards
Make the initial evaluation visit and regularly re-evaluate the patient's nursing needs
Initiate the plan of care and make necessary revisions
Provide back-up support for those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skills
Provide back-up support for appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures
Prepare clinical and progress notes and summaries of care
Inform the physician and other personnel of changes in the patient's condition and needs
Set-up new private duty cases
Counsel the patient and family in meeting nursing and related needs
Supervise and teach other nursing personnel
Plan and implement in-service and training programs
Oversee the maintenance of clinical records, statistics, reports, and records for purposes of evaluation and reporting of organizational activities
Assure proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state, and federal laws (HIPAA/OSHA Compliance)
Assure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding licensure and certification of organization personnel
Coordination of (and onsite assistance as needed) for RN-Reg clinics
Must have the ability to demonstrate solid judgment and discretion and a sense of understanding and urgency for priorities
Requires the ability to prioritize and complete work on time, be detail-oriented, exhibit a service orientation to both staff and clients, and be a professional team player with a positive attitude

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
Licensure: Active RN license in the state of Texas or Compact License
Experience: Minimum of 2 years clinical experience
