Job Title: Kitchen Manager

Uplift Education is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team. As a key member of our campus operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and food production plans to meet the needs of our students and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and storage of food and supplies, and maintain accurate records of production and sales.
  • Collaborate with our operations team to coordinate meals for field trips and special events.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in school food service or food service management, including cooking, production, inventory, and personnel management.
  • Current ServSafe Kitchen Manager's Certification required; ability to obtain within the first 20 days of hire.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
