We are seeking an experienced Administrative Specialist to join our team at the University of Georgia. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Senior Director of Finance and HR, including scheduling meetings, preparing expense reimbursement forms, and monitoring purchase and check requests.
- Assist with budget preparation and monitoring, including tracking event budgets and preparing financial reports.
- Provide support to the Business Engagement team, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and preparing travel arrangements.
- Assist with special projects, including coordinating events, preparing contracts, and supporting UGA events.
- Serve as primary backup support for the front desk, greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and directing mail and packages.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Progressively responsible experience working in an office setting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to deal effectively with a variety of persons at all levels of management.
- Proven ability to communicate professionally and effectively across multiple platforms.
- Excellent organizational abilities, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
