Role Summary: Under the supervision of the Center Director, the Family Services Assistant (FSA) will oversee the administration and assessment of services directed towards children and families. This position is essential in executing the YMCA's Early Learning Family Services initiative, ensuring the welfare of both children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and enhance the provision of comprehensive family services across Health, Nutrition, Social Services, Eligibility, and Education.
- Act as an advocate for families, promoting their well-being and supporting the learning and development of children.
- Maintain accurate records for various programs and agencies.
- Recruit eligible children and assist with the registration process.
- Develop strategies to improve attendance and consistency.
- Refer children with disabilities to appropriate services.
- Assess family needs, interests, and available resources for their well-being.
- Build community partnerships and act as a liaison for parents.
- Support health screenings, medical appointments, and care plans.
- Engage in organization-wide projects and training initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant certification in a related discipline.
- Experience in case management and family engagement practices.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
Work Environment: This role involves sitting, bending, standing, and effective verbal communication.
