Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all employees, clients, vendors, and visitors on company property have proper company-issued identification.
  • Patrol assigned post on foot to maintain visibility and observe possible unusual activity.
  • Ensure the client, its associates, and NTT Data Center personnel are provided with a safe and professional work environment.
  • Investigate, address if possible, and report security, maintenance, and safety conditions.
  • Ensure daily administrative documentation is concise and complete at all times.
  • Maintain assigned equipment is functional and in presentable condition.
  • Assist personnel with requests.
  • Complete various company or client assignments as required.
  • Assist with Shipping and Receiving tasks.
  • Respond to emergencies- coordinates with local emergency management resources.
  • Investigate and report fires, evacuations, hazardous situations/other facility related events.
  • Maintain familiarity of Security procedures and policies in addition to Company policies.
  • Exposure to investigations involving security related accidents/incidents, interviews witnesses, complaints, and victims; gather and preservation of property.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Additional education or training in security-related fields is a plus.
  • Six Months experience in security roles, preferably in a data center or similar environment.
  • Experience in the administration and operation of: access control systems, CCTV systems with digital recording, and photo ID systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and reliability in fulfilling security responsibilities.
  • Possession of relevant certifications such as Certified Security Guard (CSG) or Certified Protection Officer (CPO).
Work Environment:

The Security Officer L1 will work in a data center environment, including outside perimeter and grounds. The position requires exposure to all types of weather conditions, unpleasant fumes and odors, and hazardous work environments. The Security Officer L1 must be comfortable working in a highly critical, highly confidential, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

The Security Officer L1 must be willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, late nights, holidays, and be part of on-call protocol. The position requires a current, valid state-issued Driver's License and CPR/First Aid Certification (can be obtained in first 6 months working for NTT).

NTT Data offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Hourly base salary for this position is $23.60 and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance to local state and federal 'Wage and Hour' requirements.

All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
