Healthcare Professional for DeafBlind Individuals

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Sands Point, NY. As a Per-Diem Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and treating the healthcare needs of participants at HKNC.
This is a unique opportunity to work with individuals who are DeafBlind or have a combined hearing and vision loss. You will have the chance to make a real difference in their lives by providing high-quality care and support.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat healthcare needs of participants
- Administer medications and provide vaccinations
- Conduct health assessments and observe individuals for adverse reactions
- Perform related duties as needed
Requirements:
- NYS RN license and registration
- CPR certification with AED
- Completed courses on Advanced Infection Control and New York State Child Abuse and Reporting
- Knowledge of deaf and deaf-blind culture
