Job Summary

The Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Capital Management Specialist. This role will be responsible for supporting the company's capital management strategy and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to Comprehensive Capital Analysis Review (CCAR).

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze capital ratios, trends, and forecasts to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Calibrate Internal Capital Goals, Targets, and Triggers on an annual basis (or more frequently if required).
  • Lead discussions with Legal Entity management team to establish cross-functional alignment on subsidiaries' capital targets and triggers.
  • Update capital contingency action playbook and escalation methods.
  • Support capital transaction analysis (including equity injection, dividend, and sub-debt injection/repayment), develop and recommend potential capital transaction sizing to senior management team and facilitate transaction execution, ensuring smooth end-to-end process.
  • Monitor subsidiaries' capital positions.
  • Perform quarterly back-testing analysis.
  • Assessing potential impact of Basel III endgame rules on RBC US capital position and projections.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 4-6+ years of experience in capital management, adequacy, planning, CCAR, and regulatory reporting.
  • Full understanding of capital adequacy analytics, procedures, and policies in financial services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
