We are expanding our Radiation Oncology team and are seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. This position involves a standard day shift, working 5 days a week with 8-hour shifts. A minimum of 2 years of oncology experience as an Advanced Practice Provider is preferred.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating and treating patients effectively.
- Documenting care delivery in medical records.
- Conducting thorough patient interviews and documenting health histories, psychosocial factors, and medical issues.
- Performing physical examinations and specialized diagnostic or therapeutic procedures under physician supervision.
- Assisting in diagnosing medical conditions, formulating care plans, and prescribing appropriate treatments.
- Ordering and performing necessary laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current licensure as an advanced practice nurse in Georgia, with certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Possession of relevant certifications such as BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications; ACLS may be required in specific areas.
- Acute Care certification (ACNP or AGACNP) is necessary for inpatient roles.
