Medical Physicist, Radiation Oncology Specialist

Northside Hospital is a leading healthcare provider in Atlanta, committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing medical excellence. We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our Radiation Oncology team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide radiological physics support for the Radiation Oncology Department, ensuring accurate and safe treatment delivery.
- Monitor and maintain equipment for quality assurance and control, ensuring optimal performance and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to apply radiation oncology principles and techniques, enhancing patient outcomes and care.
- Document and analyze therapeutic applications, contributing to the development of evidence-based practices.
- Support the Chief Medical Physicist in brachytherapy services, ensuring seamless coordination and high-quality patient care.
- Ensure departmental operations meet or exceed regulatory standards, maintaining a culture of excellence and compliance.
Required Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Medical Physics or a related field, with a strong foundation in radiation oncology principles.
- Certification in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), demonstrating a commitment to patient safety and well-being.
- ABR certification or eligibility, showcasing expertise and dedication to the field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in Radiation Oncology, with a proven track record of success and growth.
- Proficiency in High Dose Rate Brachytherapy and Prostate Seed Implants, with a strong understanding of advanced radiation oncology techniques.
