Traffic Control Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Control Specialist to join our team at RoadSafe Traffic Systems. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of traffic at our work sites.
Key Responsibilities- Direct Motorists: Work with our Traffic Control Department to direct motorists away from worker activities, moving equipment, and oncoming traffic.
- Set Up Traffic Control Devices: Set up signs, cones, and other traffic control devices around work areas to divert traffic.
- Follow Safety Protocols: Follow all safety rules and regulations, and wear proper safety equipment, including work boots, hard hat, and safety vest.
- Work Independently: Set up and perform flagging operations at job sites based on site plans and contractor directions, often working independently.
- Communicate Effectively: Communicate with contractors, supervisors, and office staff to ensure smooth operations and provide excellent customer service.
- Flagger Certification: Hold a current Flagger certification or be able to pass Company-sponsored Flagger Certification.
- Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license.
- Defensive Driver Training: Successfully pass Company-sponsored Defensive Driver training.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead a small crew and work well in a team environment.
Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, moving equipment and machinery parts, moving traffic, and fumes and airborne particles. Noise level of the work environment is usually moderate/loud.
Physical Requirements- Regularly required to stand/walk; reach with hands and arms; for up to 14 hours a day.
- Occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
