Job Title: Business Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Consultant to join our team at Mastech Digital. As a Business Consultant, you will play a critical role in supporting our Business Line leadership in developing and executing analyses, strategic plans, and business processes that align with regional and national objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify analytical gaps and opportunities, contributing to the development and execution of regional and national strategies.
  • Lead and support cross-functional and regional projects by establishing clear goals, timelines, and milestones, while monitoring progress and identifying risks.
  • Conduct assessments of changes in the external environment that could impact business strategies and processes.
  • Coordinate data collection and reporting across functional areas to support business line objectives.
  • Provide status updates to key leaders, including executive and cross-team reporting.
  • Build relationships across the organization to foster support and collaboration for project initiatives.
  • Navigate complex decision-making processes related to resource allocation, project scope, and deliverables.
  • Mentor team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, execute, and monitor regional and national strategies and work streams.
  • Support regions in executing specific initiatives and projects as needed.
  • Identify issues requiring escalation to executive leadership when necessary.
  • Stay up-to-date on federal and state legislation affecting individual and family plans.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in health plans or a related field, with a strong background in consulting and managing complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, MS Visio, and MS Project.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in data analysis and developing actionable insights from complex datasets.
  • Familiarity with hospital coding and billing practices.
  • Project Management or Process Re-engineering certification preferred; Master's degree required.
