The Baylor Scott and White Health Phlebotomy training program is designed to provide quality phlebotomists to the BSWH system. The program is 6 weeks in duration, with an average of 35-40 hours of training and instructions per week. The course is broken down into two parts: virtual classroom instructions and on-site clinical experience.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and process quality specimens in a safe manner as outlined in BSWH policies and procedures.
- Aid in the delivery of exceptional patient care.
- Follows all established specimen collection, labeling, transportation, and handling procedures.
- Responsible for high customer satisfaction through professional and ethical conduct.
- Performs job responsibilities in an efficient and effective manner.
- Demonstrates engagement with achieving department goals and continuous improvement.
- Performs clerical duties.
- EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
- EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
