About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Palliative Care Specialist to join our team at Prisma Health.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide primary health care to a specific patient population within established guidelines and protocols. This role involves engaging in diagnosis and treatment, recommending or prescribing treatments for relief or cure of physical, mental, or functional ailments.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care while adhering to written protocols and established nursing standards, procedures, and practices.
  • Perform charting, summaries, correspondence, and paperwork required for documenting care and billing purposes.
  • Participate in physician educational programs relative to capitated medicine and its implications on physician practice patterns.
  • Contribute to quality assurance programs, utilization management programs, management information systems, patient education services, and patient satisfaction surveys.
  • Assist in operational assessments for revenue enhancement, expense reductions, consolidation efficiencies, and billing opportunities.
Requirements
  • Maintain courteous and cooperative working relationships with management, employees, physicians, patients, guarantors, and the public.
  • Participate in activities furthering the public's image of the Employer.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or equivalent
  • South Carolina Official Recognition Nurse Practitioner - NLNP
  • South Carolina Nursing License
  • South Carolina Controlled Substance license
  • Federal DEA license
