POSITION SUMMARY:

The Retail Sales Consultant plays a vital role in fostering a customer-centric sales environment, where our core values and guiding principles are integral to all store activities. This position is essential in ensuring an exceptional customer journey while maximizing profitability.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Performance:
  • Achieves company sales targets by employing effective sales strategies and sharing product knowledge with customers; assists in selecting merchandise that aligns with customer preferences.
  • Stays informed about ongoing promotions and maintains visual and pricing standards.
  • Ensures adherence to merchandise handling and presentation standards, as well as loss prevention protocols.
  • Contributes to visual merchandising efforts, including monthly store layouts and area maintenance.

Customer Service Excellence:
  • Embodies and promotes the principles of Exceptional Personal Service (EPS), ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.
  • Addresses customer inquiries and resolves issues promptly.
  • Facilitates a quick and efficient checkout process, remaining knowledgeable about payment policies, coupon usage, returns, exchanges, and security measures.
  • Encourages additional purchases at checkout, including gift card sales.
  • Enlists customers in loyalty programs.
  • Develops and nurtures a loyal customer base through personalized service and wardrobe consultations.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of product fit and style offerings available in-store and online.
  • Utilizes a customer relationship management system to ensure consistent communication with clients.

Operational Responsibilities:
  • Assists in inventory replenishment to keep the store well-stocked.
  • Supports order fulfillment processes.
  • Participates in visual merchandising tasks, including display setups, window changes, and signage placement as directed.
  • Helps maintain the cleanliness and organization of the boutique.

Team Collaboration and Development:
  • Encourages a collaborative approach to problem-solving within the team.
  • Actively seeks opportunities for personal growth and welcomes constructive feedback.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior retail or sales experience is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to adapt to company-provided technology.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Regular attendance is crucial to fulfill company objectives, with a flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Regular walking and standing throughout the shift.
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs. (1-33% of the shift).
  • Frequent climbing (34%-66% of the shift).

The wage range for this position is $19.50 to $24.50, determined by individual qualifications.
