Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team at Mercedes Diaz Homes Inc. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care and support to individuals with daily living needs
  • Assisting with social and recreational activities to promote independence and well-being
  • Communicating effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
  • Participating in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years old
  • Relevant experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
  • A current driver's license and California automobile insurance coverage for driving your personal vehicle
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred
