TENICA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technology Consultant, Analyst, Liaison Subject Matter Expert. An active TS/SCI clearance is a prerequisite for this role.

This position operates in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison with industry stakeholders regarding the importation, acquisition, or utilization of information and communications technology and services governed by the Department of Commerce.
  • Incorporate industry economic and regulatory concerns into departmental regulations.
  • Utilize expertise in telecommunications (including optical, wireless, and wireline networking), advanced computing, software development, cybersecurity, and related fields to assess technical data for vulnerabilities and identify effective mitigation strategies.
  • Represent departmental positions at interagency meetings and resolve complex interagency issues, often involving senior officials.
  • Review historical regulatory or policy cases for precedent and provide technical assistance for subpoena preparations.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical analysis papers for interagency committees and deliver insights to various stakeholders.
  • Address intricate inquiries from diverse audiences, including federal agency representatives and the general public, leveraging knowledge of risk mitigation mechanisms.
  • Compile technical analysis reports evaluating the strategic implications of technology advancements on existing regulations and potential new rules.
  • Collaborate with senior officials to develop regulatory policies, evaluate trade implications, and mediate technical and policy disputes.
  • Draft and revise technical guidelines impacting industries and government agencies.
  • Coordinate meetings with government and industry experts to address issues and propose regulatory changes.
  • Participate in advisory meetings and support international engagements to uphold the U.S. Government's position on relevant technologies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with manufacturers to provide technical guidance and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Support outreach initiatives to industry and international partners.
  • Conduct technical analyses in support of investigative, policy, or regulatory reviews.
  • Assist in preparing subpoena inquiries.

Note: This position requires a proactive approach and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments effectively.
