Assistant/Associate Professor of Evaluation in Education

We are seeking a highly qualified Evaluation Expert for Education to join our team at the University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA). As an Assistant/Associate Professor of Evaluation in Education, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in evaluation and research methods, advising and mentoring graduate students, and maintaining an active research program combining program or policy evaluations and research in areas of theoretical or methodological interest.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Mentoring: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in evaluation and research methods, and advise and mentor graduate students.
- Research and Evaluation: Maintain an active research program combining program or policy evaluations and research in areas of theoretical or methodological interest.
- Service and Leadership: Serve and chair PhD dissertations, and participate in departmental and university service.
- Doctoral Degree: Earned doctoral degree in Evaluation, Research Methods, or related areas and disciplines.
- Experience: Relevant experience leading or participating in program or policy evaluations in Education.
- Research Agenda: An active research agenda, record of publications, and/or funding activity.
- Professional Affiliations: Demonstrated interest in evaluation as a multi-disciplinary field of applied research, through presence in professional groups and publications in relevant journals.
- Teaching Experience: Experience teaching graduate or undergraduate courses in evaluation and research methods.
- Methodological Expertise: Demonstrated expertise and scholarly interest in specific methodologies as they apply to program/policy evaluation.
- Culturally Responsive Evaluation: Demonstrated expertise in culturally responsive, cross-cultural, comparative, or critical frameworks and theories as they relate to program/policy evaluation.
- Collaboration: Experience collaborating with researchers across disciplines and methodologies.
- Curriculum Development: Experience in curriculum development around evaluation or methodology.
- EdD Program Experience: Experience teaching and mentoring students in EdD programs for education professionals.
