About the Role

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the Sonic Drive-In to provide quality food in a clean, safe, and efficient manner. This role is accountable for the Drive-In and its operations, ensuring a positive guest experience and exceeding sales expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hiring and Training: Recruit, train, and develop a team of Great People to provide exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Demonstrate a Fair, Firm, Fun leadership approach, leading by example and setting high standards for self and the team.
  • Financial Management: Manage a profit and loss statement to exceed expectations every week, month, and year, ensuring the Drive-In operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Employee Relations: Swiftly resolve employee concerns with a thoughtful approach, celebrating team successes and coaching for better performance.
  • Community Engagement: Get out in the community, make a difference, and grow sales for your Drive-In and the brand.
  • Compliance and Safety: Maintain and enforce Sonic safety and sanitation standards, complying with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Prior management experience in the restaurant or retail industry, with a minimum of two years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related fields preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, ability to prioritize and complete tasks accordingly, and basic accounting and computer skills.
  • Work Schedule: Required to work a minimum 5-day workweek with 4 closing shifts (or 4-day workweek guaranteed), including irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
