Service Engineer

**Job Summary:**
As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for developing processes, procedures, training, checklists, and guidelines for delivering preventative and corrective maintenance services on Battery Energy Storage Systems.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Develop and deliver service training for internal and external personnel, including LG Energy Solution products and key supplier products.
* Develop and maintain the service tools and fixtures required to perform preventative and corrective maintenance at all existing and planned sites.
* Develop product repair and maintenance procedures, preventative maintenance checklists, troubleshooting guides, safety procedures, and other service documentation.
* Collaborate with LG Energy Solution product development to advise on Design for Serviceability.
* Develop service procedures and best practices to support GWh scale Long Term Service Agreements.
* Develop new aftermarket products and services to complement Long Term Service Agreements.
* Perform time-studies for Preventative and Corrective Maintenance on BESS products.
* Perform sustaining engineering activities for legacy products in service.
* Support field service engineering escalations.
**Requirements:**
* Excellent personnel management skills.
* Experience with developing training material and procedures.
* Expert knowledge of operation and maintenance of Battery Energy Storage Systems.
* Ability to interface well with customers and team members in a cross-functional environment.
* Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience using Office tools Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
**Nice to Have:**
* Working knowledge of communications protocols such as CAN, Modbus, TC/PIP, DNP3.
* Familiarity with complex controls systems, Real-Time Operating Systems.
* Engineering experience with energy storage and power conversion systems.
* Knowledge or understanding of generation, transmission, and distribution in electric grid systems.
* Structured problem-solving experience or Lean background.
* Understanding of computer networks.
**Education/Experience/Work Environment:**
* B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
* Willingness to travel up to 10%.
* If a remote employee, willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to engage directly with team members.
