Position Summary

The Senior Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing critical manufacturing processes while ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and our Quality Management System. This role operates on the first shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage personnel, ensuring consistent application of policies related to safety, attendance, and operational discipline.
  • Ensure all job-related documentation is completed accurately to meet customer and regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate training for all staff within the cleanroom environment.
  • Collaborate with the product management team to provide accurate data for incident investigations and ensure adherence to established procedures.
  • Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies to address non-conformance reports and corrective action requests.
  • Monitor and report on key business metrics, including safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Maintain open communication with Team Leads and Operations Managers.
  • Develop and mentor Team Leaders and Assistant Team Leaders.
  • Address personnel issues promptly and work with Human Resources to resolve conflicts.
  • Coordinate production scheduling and validation processes.
  • Implement changeover improvement strategies and track performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with validated standards throughout job processes.
  • Approve daily timekeeping records.
  • Design and adjust room schedules based on operational demands and constraints.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste.
  • Conduct regular quality audits to ensure compliance.
  • Oversee the maintenance of visual management tools and task trackers in the production area.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of all production areas and manage off-shift operations as necessary.
  • Exemplify the core values of honesty, integrity, and respect.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies; Black Belt certification is preferred.
  • Proven leadership capabilities.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings and nights.

Knowledge Requirements

  • Understanding of regulated industries, including FDA, FAA, and ISO standards.
  • Preferred knowledge of medical device manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with world-class manufacturing practices is advantageous.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • An engineering degree is a plus.

Experience

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in management, planning, and scheduling within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on lean principles.
