Job Summary:
As a Manufacturing Laborer at DIMAR MANUFACTURING, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our shop. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in all areas of the shop, including cleaning and organizing parts and materials, performing physical operations to remove parts from main sheets of metal, and operating metal fabricating/finishing equipment to cut, bend, form, and/or finish metal parts as specified by customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in Shop Operations: Assist in all areas of the shop, including cleaning and organizing parts and materials, and performing physical operations to remove parts from main sheets of metal.
- Operate Equipment: Operate metal fabricating/finishing equipment to cut, bend, form, and/or finish metal parts as specified by customer requirements.
- Record Job Activities: Record job activities, including counts, utilizing labor reporting systems.
- Communicate with Team Members: Communicate with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate activities.
- Maintain Quality Standards: Perform all job functions to meet acceptable quality and performance standards.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: Between 6 months to 1 year of related work experience of a physical nature.
- Skills: Able to position and manipulate parts with the hands demonstrating manual dexterity, able to follow directions precisely and perform repetitive tasks.
Work Environment:
The Machine shop work environment is fast-paced and requires the use of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and steel-toed shoes/boots.
Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position is $17-20 per hour.
