Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize production schedules and qualifications for respective departments while coordinating with the Operations Manager to implement necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure that all job-related documentation is completed accurately and thoroughly in compliance with FDA regulations.
  • Develop and adjust room schedules based on demand and resource availability, responding effectively to any changes.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with team leaders regarding job processes, improvement strategies, and performance metrics.
  • Implement consistent and equitable policies for managing personnel, including training, safety, attendance, and disciplinary actions.
  • Conduct quality assessments and address any quality-related concerns.
  • Be accountable for key performance indicators including safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Mentor and develop Team Leaders and Assistant Team Leaders.
  • Approve hourly timekeeping records.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives and facilitate workshops on the production floor.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and take appropriate corrective actions when necessary.
  • Foster a strong safety culture through accident investigations and regular safety inspections, ensuring that employees are equipped with and utilize proper protective gear.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (FDA, FAA, ISO).
  • At least 3 years of experience in personnel management, planning, scheduling, and implementing lean methodologies.
  • Experience with controlled product documentation and lean process implementation is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with various levels of management.
  • 3+ years of experience in Lean Manufacturing practices (6 Sigma, Black Belt preferred).
  • Proficiency in MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including 2nd and 3rd shifts.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
