Job Summary

The Production Supervisor - Manufacturing Operations is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes that are critical to the company's operation, ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and meeting the requirements of our Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of production personnel, ensuring consistent policy deployment and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Verify that all paperwork for jobs is completed accurately and completely to meet the scrutiny of regulatory bodies, such as the FDA.
  • Assure training of all personnel in the cleanrooms and ensure adherence to validated standards.
  • Provide thorough and accurate data for incident investigations and ensure adherence to STM. 389 Process Setup/Manufacturing Procedure and MNG.006 Defect Tracking.
  • Leverage structured problem-solving tools to respond to non-conformities and corrective actions.
  • Accountable for business metrics, including safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Communicate effectively with Team Leads and Operations Managers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and implement changeover improvement plans, performance tracking, and cell improvements.
  • Monitor job processes and adherence to validated standards, and design the room schedule based on demand and constraints.
  • React to changes in demand, resources, and other factors that may impact scheduling.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities using lean manufacturing tools to eliminate waste.
  • Conduct quality audits and lead rounds process for their area, ensuring visual boards are maintained and task trackers are up-to-date.
Safety Responsibilities
  • Ensure all employees comply with safety rules and regulations.
  • Take corrective action as necessary to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Carry out safety policy and procedures as directed by the department manager.
  • Promote and maintain enthusiasm for safety among employees.
  • Conduct thorough accident investigations and submit reports to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct periodic safety inspections of their areas and ensure employees are provided with and wear proper protective equipment.
  • Participate in Job Hazard Analysis and provide ideas to improve the safety function.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience managing people, planning, scheduling, and implementing lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience working with DHRs/Travelers and implementing changeover improvement plans.
  • Knowledge of regulated industries, such as FDA, FAA, and ISO.
  • Ability to work any shift, including 2nd and 3rd shifts.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Applications, Lotus Notes, and E-mail.
  • Leadership experience and ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Education

Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university. Engineering degree a plus.
