Administrative Management Specialist III

Job Summary
The Jefferson Parish is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Management Specialist III to join our team. As a key member of our Community Development Programs department, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing federal- and state-funded grant programs, ensuring compliance with HUD regulations and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage federal- and state-funded grant programs, including CDBG, HOME, and ESG.
- Ensure compliance with HUD regulations and requirements, including the annual Action Plan and the multi-year Consolidated Plan.
- Administer CDBG (Infrastructure), CDBG-CV, and HESG-CV programs, ensuring that all in-house and HUD regulations are met.
- Verify and process subrecipient and/or contractor requests for payments, coordinate with the purchasing department, and bid opening for housing and infrastructure projects.
- Design, implement, and manage processes and procedures for the CDBG (Infrastructure), CDBG-CV, and HESG-CV programs, including qualifying clients and subrecipients/contractors participating in the programs.
Requirements
- Possession of an accredited Bachelor's degree, plus at least one year of paid work experience coordinating and managing federal- or state-funded grant programs.
- Or possession of an accredited Master's degree (preferably in Business or Public Administration), plus at least three months of paid work experience coordinating and managing federal- or state-funded grant programs.
- Experience working for a government or non-profit entity participating in Community Development/HUD programs is preferred.
