Kennel Attendant Position

The Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our kennel staff, you will provide daily care for our boarded animals, ensuring their health and well-being. Your responsibilities will include cleaning, bathing, grooming, exercising, and feeding our animals, as well as assisting with kennel maintenance and cleaning. You will also be responsible for administering medication, monitoring behavior, and reporting any changes or concerns to our veterinary team. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of animal care, including weight, physical condition, treatments received, and food intake. This is a rewarding role that requires a customer service attitude, organizational skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. If you are passionate about animal care and have a strong work ethic, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily care for boarded animals
  • Bathing, grooming, exercising, feeding, administering medication, and monitoring behavior
  • Assist with kennel maintenance and cleaning
  • Report changes in animal behavior, health, or concerns to Vet or Hospital Manager
  • Maintain animal records, such as weight, physical condition, treatments received, medications given, and food intake
  • Other duties as assigned by Doctor/Hospital Manager/Kennel Manager
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or relevant education and work experience
  • Previous experience with animals preferred
  • Customer service attitude
  • Organizational skills
  • Team oriented, enjoys working as part of team
  • Solid communication skills
