Residential Construction Project Manager

The Residential Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all facets of on-site construction operations to guarantee that projects are executed safely, within the designated timeline, budgetary constraints, and in accordance with applicable building regulations.
This role demands outstanding leadership, organizational, and communication abilities to effectively direct construction teams and subcontractors.Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate all on-site construction activities from project inception to completion.
- Ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, building codes, and other regulatory standards.
- Efficiently manage and schedule subcontractors, labor, and materials to uphold project timelines and budgetary limits.
- Conduct routine site inspections to ensure quality assurance and safety protocols are met or surpassed.
- Address any construction-related challenges, conflicts, or discrepancies that may occur throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Keep precise project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
- Provide regular updates on project progress to management and engage in project meetings.
- Enforce site safety measures and ensure a secure working environment for all personnel.
- Guide, mentor, and supervise construction teams to uphold high standards of workmanship and productivity.
- Collaborate with the project manager to anticipate project requirements, including workforce, materials, and equipment.
- Oversee the adoption of sustainable construction practices, when applicable.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Demonstrated experience (X years) as a Construction Project Manager in residential construction.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 60 pounds) and perform tasks in various weather conditions. Physical agility to navigate construction sites, climb ladders, and access confined spaces.
