Job Summary:

As a valued member of the Christus Health team, the Physical Therapist plays a critical role in evaluating and treating patients with impaired function due to disease or injury. This position requires a licensed physical therapist to utilize therapeutic exercise, rehabilitation procedures, and physical agents within the scope of their licensure. The ideal candidate will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care, while also supervising the activities of physical therapy assistants, technicians, and student interns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients to identify functional limitations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Implement therapeutic exercise programs, rehabilitation procedures, and physical agents to promote patient recovery and independence
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants, technicians, and student interns
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in physical therapy

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program with a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
  • Current licensure as a physical therapist in the state of Texas
  • American Heart Association BLS certification within two weeks of employment
