Tier 1: Competitive base rate based on experience, 3 shifts in a 6-week schedule

Tier 2: $40/hour for 6 shifts in a 6-week schedule

Tier 3: $45/hour for 12 shifts in a 6-week schedule

Tier 4: $50/hour for 18 shifts in a 6-week schedule

Unit Overview:


This specialized 36-bed Orthopedic Medical Surgical unit is committed to delivering outstanding care for patients undergoing various orthopedic, spine, neurological, plastics, and trauma-related surgeries.

Our unit serves a diverse adult demographic, ranging from young adults to geriatrics.

Located on the 6th floor, this specialized inpatient unit functions in a dynamic environment, concentrating on post-operative care, trauma stepdown, and patients admitted through the emergency department.

Our care philosophy aligns with our mission and core values at CHRISTUS, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere centered on patient-focused care.

Our nursing team works closely with Beaumont Bone and Joint, the Physical Therapy department, and an in-house Nurse Practitioner to ensure a high standard of post-surgical care.

The Physical Therapy Department, situated nearby on the same floor, conducts rounds on all orthopedic patients twice daily within our unit.

We prioritize flexible scheduling and promote an engaging workplace that encourages education and leadership among our staff.

A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for delivering patient care through the processes of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Additionally, the Registered Professional Nurse prescribes, delegates, coordinates, supervises, and evaluates patient education and the activities of ancillary nursing personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.

The Registered Nurse is equipped to provide both direct and indirect patient care.
Graduate of a State Board accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of RN acute hospital experience.
Current RN license or permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas.

Work Schedule:

PRN
7pm - 7am - Flexible scheduling options available

Shift Differentials:

7pm - 11pm +$3.50/hour on base rate
11pm - 7am +$4.50/hour on base rate
Weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) +$2.50/hour
Time and a half for major holidays
