About the Role

Gigasavvy is seeking a skilled Production Designer to join our Creative Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality visual content that brings our clients' products and services to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with art directors and designers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • File Preparation: Prepare final press-ready files based on supplied specifications for various types of printing.
  • Artwork Management: Make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production.
  • Image Retouching and Manipulation: Provide image retouching, clipping paths, and additional image manipulation as needed.
  • File Packaging and Preflight: Package and preflight files for release to printers or media partners.
  • PDF Creation: Create PDFs for print and client review.
  • Image Optimization: Prepare images for online and mobile applications.
  • Project Management: Follow a development timeline to ensure tasks are being completed on time.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot problems as they arise with both the creative team and the printer.
  • Idea Presentation: Present your ideas and concepts both internally and directly to clients.
  • Communication and Timelines: Proactively communicate timelines and statuses of projects.
  • Brand Representation: Ensure that brand voice, concepts, themes, and/or messaging are accurately represented in design.
  • Team Collaboration: Maintain a positive disposition in a fast-paced environment and during demanding times.
Requirements
  • Education: BA/BS degree required (design concentration preferred).
  • Experience: 2-3+ years experience as Production Artist within a product company, design studio, creative agency, printing company, or print publication.
  • Digital Content Experience: Experience with digital content such as websites, social media, rich media, online advertising, and email campaigns.
  • Design Passion: A passion for design and creative marketing.
  • Adaptability: A drive to learn and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Inspiration and Collaboration: A desire to seek inspiration and share that inspiration with others.
  • Attitude and Approach: A humble and hungry attitude, with a proactive approach to addressing problems before they arise.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with After Effects and Premiere is a bonus.
  • Location: Must be located in California, Idaho, Colorado, or Tennessee.
