Cyber Security Manager

About the Position:

As a key member of TD SYNNEX's Global IT Security team, you will oversee a group of cybersecurity professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective implementation and management of security technologies, protocols, and procedures that align with TD SYNNEX's information security policies and standards. You will provide strategic leadership, operational planning, and coordination to achieve the established objectives. Additionally, you will maintain the security infrastructure and monitor the effectiveness of controls while supporting both internal and external audits. Collaboration with senior management in IT and across the business will be essential to mitigate risks and enhance security services. You will also play a crucial role in educating colleagues and business partners on best practices in cybersecurity and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor team members within the department (40%)
  • Oversee the delivery of security services and drive continuous improvement initiatives (20%)
  • Manage the implementation and upkeep of security tools and technologies (20%)
  • Assist in incident and problem management processes (10%)
  • Conduct audits and assurance testing to ensure control effectiveness and compliance with regulations and policies (10%)
  • Report directly to IT Security leadership

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant IT field is required.
  • 5 to 8 years of pertinent work experience.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Relevant security and technology certifications or equivalent proven experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
  • Ability to create and deliver formal presentations.
  • Effective interaction with all levels of management.
  • Demonstrated multicultural interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with a proactive approach to innovation.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a focus on task completion.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and manage high workloads.
  • Commitment to maintaining ethical and organizational standards in all business activities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capacity to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Skill in building strong, effective working relationships.
  • Quick learner of new systems and technologies.

Working Environment:

  • May require occasional non-standard work hours or overtime based on business needs.
  • On-call availability may be necessary.
  • Some travel may be involved.
