The Investment Company Institute (ICI) is a leading association representing regulated investment funds, including mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), closed-end funds, and unit investment trusts (UITs). We seek an experienced Government Affairs Manager to join our team in Washington, D.C.

In this position, you will be responsible for monitoring public policy developments and advising our government affairs team on matters related to financial services issues. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of effective advocacy strategies for key ICI priorities.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Monitor public policy developments and advise the government affairs team on matters related to financial services issues.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of effective advocacy strategies for key ICI priorities.
  • Represent ICI and its member companies before Congress as necessary.
  • Attend and summarize important Congressional hearings on behalf of the ICI government affairs team.

**Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field strongly preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a related field, including experience as a Congressional staffer or in an advocacy-focused organization.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the legislative process and ability to analyze complex policy issues.
  • Experience working with lobbying, legal, research, and public communications professionals.

**Salary Range:** $100,000 - $130,000 per year.
