Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Holiday Inn KCI Airport/KCI Expo Center/Atwell Suites. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's maintenance and repair functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment, fixtures, and appliances to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of hotel facilities to identify and address potential maintenance issues before they become major problems.
  • Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of air conditioning units, PTACs, and HVAC systems as needed.
  • Anticipate and respond to maintenance needs in a proactive and efficient manner.
  • Ensure the security of all storage areas and shops in compliance with company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Assist with hotel security to minimize the risk of theft, crime, and other hazards.
  • Troubleshoot issues with all hotel systems, including but not limited to: Keys/Locks, PMS, Fire Alarm, Water Softeners, HVAC, F&B (including equipment), Boilers, Water Heaters, Water Flow, Water Softeners, Expo Center Equipment and Systems, Laundry Equipment, Fire Alarm Systems, ANSUL Systems, Fire Sprinkler Systems, and any other systems used by the Hotel/Expo Center.
  • Monitor inventory of parts and supplies and maintain and order them promptly and efficiently.
  • Monitor the inventory of all Hotel and Expo Center-owned tools.
  • Maintain the exterior of the property by conducting daily walks around the premises and removing and disposing of trash as needed.
  • Assist with removing trash as needed and directed by the Supervisor.
  • Remove snow and spread ice melt in traffic areas to ensure safe walking paths for guests and employees.
Requirements
  • 1 year experience in Maintenance, Plumbing, or other related field preferred.
  • Specialized expertise in plumbing, electrical, painting, mechanical, and carpentry fields.
  • Level 3 EPA Certification, HVAC and refrigeration certificate, licensed plumber, and/or journeyman status for electrician and carpenter may be required.
  • Hotel experience preferred.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects of up to, or over, 40 lbs.
