Job Summary

We are seeking a strong Principal Product Manager Technical to lead the product vision and execution for Sponsored Product ad experiences on Off Amazon publisher sites.

You will engage with customers, including publishers, advertisers, and partner teams, to help formulate your vision and define the features, goals, and metrics that drive a substantial science and engineering team to turn your vision into product.

You will work closely with software engineers and scientists, making the right design decisions and trade-offs aligned with the product vision.

This is a high-visibility role, requiring the candidate to be comfortable making high-judgment decisions, both with and without data.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work with a talented team of engineers and scientists to define and execute on creating good ad experiences Off-Amazon.
  2. Be a product visionary, but also pragmatic and agile.
  3. Operate in a complex and ambiguous environment, breaking down ambiguities into manageable and tractable milestones, while making progress towards achieving the end vision through continuous experimentation.
  4. Influence without authority across organizations (both internal and external).
  5. Make high-judgment calls, both with and without data.
  6. Collaborate closely with UX designers in crafting how the future of shopping experience on Amazon looks like.
  7. Define the right success metrics for the program and our customers to drive long-term business growth.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of end-to-end product delivery experience.
  • 8+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with feature delivery and trade-offs of a product.
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
  • Experience technical product management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements.
  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement.
  • Advertiser experience preferred.

Compensation

The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
