Senior Accountant Role Overview

In the capacity of Senior Accountant at Fair Trade Outsourcing, you will be integral to our Finance Division. You will be tasked with supervising financial operations, ensuring the integrity of financial documentation, adhering to accounting regulations, and delivering insightful analysis to facilitate informed business decisions. This role demands a proficient expert with extensive experience in accounting methodologies and financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the daily financial functions of the organization.
  • Guarantee the precision and thoroughness of financial records and transactions.
  • Conduct routine assessments and evaluations of financial data to uncover trends and discrepancies.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed financial reports to leadership, summarizing essential financial metrics.
  • Produce financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards, regulations, and financial policies.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external auditors during audit processes.
  • Assist in the formulation of annual budgets and financial projections.
  • Track budget performance and provide analysis of variances.
  • Identify potential enhancements for financial processes and systems.
  • Implement best practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
  • Offer financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a Senior Accountant position or a comparable role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
