About the Role

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Architect to join our team in the Houston market. As a key member of our Global Enterprise Sales team, you'll be responsible for partnering with Client Managers to provide technical pre-sales work for our Fortune 500 customers across all verticals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and drive strategic solutions in network, cloud, and security transformations, software-defined data centers, data engineering, and analytics, as well as AIOps platforms.
  • Prepare internal and customer-facing sales/technical presentations that simplify complex designs and concepts.
  • Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders and executives within accounts.
  • Provide thought leadership within accounts.
  • Drive revenue with existing and net new clients leveraging the entire WWT portfolio.
  • Build strategic relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
  • Proactively find new opportunities within existing customer bases.
Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience in successful consultative selling and/or account development of Commercial Enterprise accounts.
  • Experience working with senior business partners and C-level clients identifying trends, communicating competitive actions, and presenting strategic plans.
  • Proven ability to contribute to new business development efforts.
  • Possesses aptitude to identify strategic solutions to business problems with enterprise-wide implications.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategic technical plans.
  • Ability to excel at understanding and driving solutions centered on primary client needs.
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills.
  • Visionary leadership and the ability to motivate a team.
  • Strong financial and business acumen with understanding of a multi-faceted business operation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to handle diverse situations, and rapidly changing priorities.
  • Ability to approach customer and sales requests with a proactive and consultative manner; listen and understand user requests and needs and effectively deliver.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, and manage programs and multiple projects.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • High-level knowledge of automation platforms and tools (Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, Azure Resource Manager, Ansible, Chef, etc.).

  • Data Center Infrastructure: Dell server, HPE server, Cisco UCS, Pure Storage, Dell EMC Storage, HPE Storage, Nutanix HCI.
  • Backup technologies: Zerto, Veeam, Cohesity, Rubrik, Data Domain, Avamar.
  • Network Security Technologies: Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, Palo Alto NGFWs, F5 BIG-IP.
  • Microsoft technologies: Active Directory, Office 365, Virtual Desktop.
  • Hybrid/MultiCloud Technologies: AWS core concepts (VPC, Landing Zone, EC2, S3, Identity and Access Management, etc.), Azure foundational concepts (Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, Virtual Machines, blob storage, Load Balancer, Azure Active Directory, etc.), VMware, Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes.
  • Data Engineering/Governance: QLIK, Trifacta, Dataiku, Talend.
  • AIOPS and Observability: DataDog, Dynatrace, Big Panda, Splunk.
