Medical Scribe Job Summary

ScribeAmerica is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Office Data Entry Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Scribe, you will have the opportunity to work closely with healthcare providers to document patient information, gain valuable experience in the healthcare field, and advance your career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accompany healthcare providers during patient visits to document patient information and medical history
  • Gain substantial knowledge in how to appropriately document patient information, medical procedures, and treatment plans
  • Navigate electronic medical records and facility computer systems
  • Monitor pending labs and radiology orders for results to guide patient care
  • Review past history and test results on patients to inform medical decisions

Requirements:

  • Ability to type over 40 WPM
  • Commit to ScribeAmerica for up to 1 year
  • Be flexible enough to work 2 shifts per week

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit or stand in front of a computer for several hours a day
  • Regularly required to use a keyboard and computer
