Job Title: Inventory & Data Specialist

Foodlink Inc is seeking a highly skilled Inventory & Data Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all elements of inventory control and operational reporting for the food bank.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain inventory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with shipping, receiving, and order picking operations.
  • Conduct regular and random audits, including physical counts, and generate reports to ensure accurate inventory on hand in the Distribution Center.
  • Analyze inventory data, including on-hand and turns, and present to the procurement team for strategic purchasing.
  • Responsible for the creation and distribution of required reports for the organization on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Assist with the creation of new donors/vendors and perform final audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with the creation of new item codes and perform final audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Create Jet Reports as requested by staff for the organization.
  • Analyze and process the Shorts & Cuts journal required for inventory management.
  • Oversee and coordinate inventory management processes, including dead tag, reconciliation, and weekly cycle counts for all storage types in the Distribution Center.
  • Lead the communication with the Office of General Services (OGS) team, including coordination of entitlement and bonus USDA loads, ordering through the WBSCM portal, and ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Lead collaborative inventory management meetings with the Director of Operations and Distribution Center Manager.
  • Support the Finance team in period closure and financial report preparation.
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead the fiscal year-end full inventory count.
  • Coordinate and support required inventory audits.
  • Utilize Tableau and Jet Reports software to create reports and data visualizations for the organization.
Requirements:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree with a concentration in business administration, supply chain, inventory management, finance, math, or other job-related courses.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in job-related positions.
  • Ability to apply financial concepts to inventory control, budgets, payroll, auditing, etc.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.
  • Experience and/or comfort working in a warehouse environment and knowledge of basic safety standards.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft software applications, including Word, Excel, and database knowledge.
  • Ability to draft reports and business correspondence and to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, agencies, customers, and the public.
  • Meticulous with strong organization, administration, and time management skills.
  • Fluency in English required. Knowledge of Spanish is helpful.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to analyze data and present visualizations for business decision-making.
  • Knowledge and experience with Tableau and Jet Reports preferred.
Salary and Benefits:

This is a full-time, hourly position ranging from $30.77 per hour, depending on experience. Foodlink Inc covers 100% of individual health and dental insurance with the ability to acquire family coverage with pretax dollars. In addition to generous paid time off (PTO), we observe 14 paid holidays throughout the year. Opportunity to contribute to a 401(k) retirement savings plan upon hire. Eligible for a generous employer match after 1 year of service.
