Position Summary
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the repair and maintenance of various construction machinery and vehicles. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical issues and ensuring optimal performance of equipment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Diagnose and resolve mechanical problems efficiently and effectively.
2. Disassemble machinery to access and replace defective components using appropriate tools.
3. Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment, including oil changes, lubrication, and fluid checks.
4. Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, as well as diesel and gasoline engines.
5. Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts orders.
6. Ensure a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance.
- A valid driver's license.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

Skills and Competencies
- Ability to interpret technical documents and manuals.
- Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Physical Requirements
The role requires frequent lifting of up to 75 lbs, as well as the ability to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods. Candidates should be prepared to work in various environmental conditions.
