Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Preventative Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at American Equipment HR LLC. As an Elevator Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance and safety of our equipment
  • Conduct thorough inspections and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice on repair and safety-related matters
  • Generate sales leads during service calls to drive business growth
  • Accurately document all work performed on service reports
  • Install, assemble, and start up new crane wiring and equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Travel may be required, with a company-provided work vehicle
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory and ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3-phase motor control systems
  • A minimum of 2-year hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance experience
  • Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical environments, with familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Willingness to work overtime and adapt to changing priorities
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Must pass a drug-screen and background check
  • Strong communication skills and proven commitment to safety
  • Comfort with working at heights and experience with Variable Frequency drives and PLC programming a plus
