Position Overview:


The Communications team at CMA CGM North America is in search of a skilled and innovative communications and events professional to collaboratively enhance our internal and external communications initiatives.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Special Events, North America, the ideal candidate will collaborate with a seasoned team, focusing on managing a diverse range of multimedia projects, including videography, photography, video production, asset management, virtual meeting coordination, graphic design, and local agency event implementation across North America.

Strong project management skills are essential, along with a proven track record in event management and a keen eye for impactful visual storytelling.


The successful candidate should be a collaborative team member capable of prioritizing tasks and adapting as needed to achieve departmental objectives. They should possess an event/hospitality mindset, eager to exceed stakeholder expectations. A proactive problem solver, ready to embrace challenges and learn new skills, is highly desirable.

An enthusiastic photographer with a passion for the craft, experience handling large photo/video files, and familiarity with the latest asset storage technologies is essential.


The communications team collaborates closely with CMA CGM's headquarters and other departments within the North American network.

A demonstrated history of teamwork in communication projects and a collaborative working style are prerequisites for this role.

A willingness to travel and work outside standard hours is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
Create engaging, original, high-quality content for distribution, complemented by compelling visuals.
Manage assets, including researching photography archives, sourcing stock images, and coordinating imagery requests from partners.
Organize and oversee video and photography capture as needed.
Coordinate, produce, and edit virtual events and webinars.
Undertake general graphic design projects as required.
Monitor the performance of posted content using key metrics and propose optimization strategies. Compile reports for management showcasing results.

Collaborate and support the communications team, as well as the headquarters communications, CMA CGM Foundation, Sales, HR, and other key stakeholders on internal and external initiatives.

Facilitate and support photography and videography for corporate events and gatherings across North America.
Assist senior team members with the execution of additional communication tasks as assigned.

Undertake miscellaneous related duties or projects as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven versatility and independence in writing and editing content; familiarity with SEO is advantageous.
Comprehensive knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Awareness of new media resources and technologies.
Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage workload independently while thriving in a deadline-driven environment.
Capacity to work under pressure and excel in a fast-paced, structured corporate setting.
Proficiency in InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.
Proficiency in MS Office with a working knowledge of PC platforms.
High level of assertiveness and self-motivation.
Ability to function as a team player, share ideas, and provide and accept constructive feedback.

Problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to evaluate the impact of content on diverse audiences and independently create targeted copy.

Education and Experience Requirements:


A BA or BS in marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field, along with 3 years of experience in social media content curation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


A minimum of 3 years of general experience is required.
