Job Summary

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Collaboration Services Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Digital Workplace Services team, you will be responsible for leading the integration of collaboration tools to optimize customer and stakeholder productivity, ensuring alignment with the broader Digital Workplace Services IT strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the integration of collaboration tools to optimize customer and stakeholder productivity
  • Provide technical guidance to engineers executing modernization initiatives aimed at advancing the University's digital collaborations systems and infrastructure
  • Work with customers, partners, and key stakeholders across the University to provide best-in-class services by identifying and implementing new tools and modernizing existing tools to enhance the customer experience at UCSF
  • Ensure UCSF's IT infrastructure is operable, secure, efficient, and effective in service of the University's mission
  • Deliver exceptional information technology services comprehensively and consistently across customers and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related field
  • 7-10+ years of experience working in collaboration services, network services, information technology, or related field
  • Expert in digital collaboration engineering design, implementation, and maintenance for large organizations
  • Extensive experience with industry-standard digital collaboration technologies and protocols
  • Advanced knowledge of network systems, network protocols and topologies, including LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
  • Expert in establishing documentation standards and influence adoption
  • Advanced proficiency with automation tools such as PowerShell, Unix shell, and application APIs
  • Extensive experience in a leadership or management role, overseeing a team of technical professionals
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related field
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Red Hat, or equivalent
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or equivalent
