Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Grant Accountant to join our team at CSUDH Foundation. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial oversight and management of grants and contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, for funders, management, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor expenditures and budgets for assigned contracts/grants, identifying and reporting any discrepancies or inconsistencies.
  • Develop and maintain budgets, financial models, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform grant close-out activities, including reconciliations, final invoices, and financial status reports.
  • Record and manage revenue and receivables, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Review and analyze financial data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with program management and staff to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in accounting or finance, including general ledger reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, Uniform Administrative Requirements and Cost Principles, budgeting, cost allocation, and non-profit accounting.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel, including vlookup, sumif, and linking.
  • Proficient in the use of computerized accounting systems, including report creation and template building.
  • Preferred experience using Blackbaud Finance Edge NXT.
