Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for grant accounting and consulting. The successful candidate will have a strong background in grant management, compliance, and reporting requirements, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up grants and sub-grantees for state and federal grants
  • Develop and maintain grant budgets, financial reports, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to grant requirements and guidelines
  • Oversee the financial management of grants, including the monitoring of expenditures, the reconciliation of accounts, and the preparation of financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with grant terms and conditions, regulatory requirements, and accounting principles
  • Work closely with subcontractors, ensuring they understand and comply with grant requirements and guidelines
  • Provide training and support to clients and subcontractors on grant accounting, financial management, and compliance
  • Perform financial analyses and provide recommendations to clients to help them make informed decisions about their grant programs
  • Assist clients with grant applications, renewals, and closures, ensuring all financial aspects are properly managed and reported
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant accounting, with a focus on consulting
  • In-depth knowledge of grant management, compliance, and reporting requirements
  • Strong financial forecasting skills and experience in budget development and management
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide recommendations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to clients and subcontractors
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
