About the Role

Beebe Healthcare is seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical assessments of the pulmonary system with precision and accuracy, creating a plan-of-care that is sound and consistent with departmental protocols and clinical practice guidelines.
  • Administer respiratory therapeutic interventions and other duties as assigned with high proficiency, and minimal-to-no-supervision.
  • Establish and manage mechanical ventilation with most commonly used ventilators (invasive and non-invasive) with high proficiency and minimal-to-no-supervision.
  • Perform ventilation weaning mechanics, routinely develop or refine the ventilator care plan, and communicate findings and recommendations to the patient care team.
  • Correctly document all pertinent data and charges on the patient's medical record, and consistently communicate findings with healthcare members on the care plan.
Requirements
  • Graduate with a certificate of completion from a Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Therapy Education (JRCRTE) program.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required within 6 months of hire.
  • Registry from the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
Competencies and Skills
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to keep confidential information regarding patients and team members.
  • Able to withstand crisis situations.
  • Has skills to provide customer service to patients, team members, and visitors.
  • Knowledge and experience with electronic health records.
Credentials and Education
  • RCPLIC - Respiratory Care Practitioner State License.
  • BLS - Basic Life Saving certification.
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program/Certificate - ESS.
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
  • Associates Degree.
