Job Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager with a robust background in the commercial construction sector. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 7-10 years of experience within the Philadelphia metropolitan area, specifically in the commercial construction industry.

This is a full-time role with a reputable and established firm, Axis Construction Management, LLC, which has successfully operated for over 18 years, delivering a diverse portfolio of projects including medical facilities and multifamily residential buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Ensure adherence to contract specifications and adequately prepare the production team prior to project commencement.
  • Conduct necessary inspections to reduce downtime and ensure compliance.
  • Engage in negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure optimal value for the projects.
  • Participate in essential production meetings.
  • Facilitate effective communication between the office, design team, and production staff.
  • Maintain budgetary and scheduling systems, reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager.
  • Create detailed critical path schedules that align with project demands.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Proficient in computer applications, including Excel, Word, MS Project, and Outlook.
  • Preferred knowledge of PROLOG and OnScreen Takeoff software.
  • A relevant college degree is preferred.
  • ICRA and OSHA certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience in medical, multifamily residential, and hospitality projects is preferred.

Additional Requirements:
  • Familiarity with standard industry documentation (e.g., RFIs, Change Orders, two-week outlooks, daily logs, cost controls, scopes, contracts).
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the office.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to undergo mandatory drug testing and background checks.
  • Must be a local candidate with a commitment to establishing a long-term career with Axis Construction Management, LLC.
