This role will be responsible for planning and executing all facets of the material requirements planning (MRP) process and system, ensuring seamless coordination between departments and timely delivery of products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Institute and develop an effective and efficient planning process and policies utilizing MRP software.
- Coordinate workflow between departments, ensuring deadlines are met for assigned business.
- Create, communicate, evaluate, and adjust product delivery schedules, from procurement to shipment.
- Train others on the fundamentals and operation of the MRP system.
- Advise on current and anticipated capacity constraints to adapt and reroute jobs as needed.
- Lead and identify continual improvement assignments to eliminate waste in the planning department, with measurable goals and objectives.
- Establish inventory levels according to generally accepted Materials Management practices.
- Complete quality system requirements as they pertain to specific job functions.
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) or equivalent, or related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of ISO9001 / ISO13485 QMS requirements.
- Computer skills required: E2 or equivalent MRP Systems; Microsoft Office Suite; Project Management Software.
- Communication skills: Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, suppliers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Dependability: Keeps commitments, commits to long hours of work when necessary, and completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate personnel with an alternate plan.
- Judgement: Displays willingness to make decisions, exhibits sound and accurate judgement, supports and explains reasoning for decisions, includes appropriate people in decision-making processes, and makes timely decisions.
- Planning/Organizing: Prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently, plans for additional resources, sets goals and objectives, organizes or schedules other people and their tasks, and develops realistic action plans.
