Role Summary:

The Installation Support Technician will be responsible for the initiation and commissioning of equipment, conducting operational and maintenance training, and performing preventive maintenance inspections. This role requires a professional demeanor as you will be the face of BlastOne during client interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly assess new system installations to ensure compliance with specifications and operational effectiveness.
  • Oversee the start-up and commissioning of new equipment and provide service for repaired units.
  • Prepare detailed commissioning and service documentation.
  • Facilitate training sessions for operational and maintenance teams.
  • Provide remote support to customers via phone.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems effectively.
  • Repair mechanical assemblies as needed.
  • Review and analyze PLC programs for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Possess the ability to modify PLC programs (preferred but not mandatory).

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing settings with potential exposure to dust and debris.
  • Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM.
  • Occasional weekend and off-shift work may be required.
  • Travel may be necessary, potentially up to 100% of the time.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, HVAC, or structural installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints.
  • Preferred: Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • A minimum of three years of technical experience in maintenance or related fields.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in operating heavy machinery, including forklifts and aerial lifts.
  • Skilled in mechanical assembly using hand tools.
  • Experienced in conducting mechanical and electrical inspections.
  • Familiarity with Windows-based platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley or Schneider PLC software is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
