Job Title: Recreation Therapist

Tenet Massachusetts is seeking a Recreation Therapist to join our team in Wellesley, Massachusetts.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Recreation Therapist to work with our patients in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Recreation Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing Therapeutic Recreation programs to increase, maintain, or restore functions, maximize or prevent disability, and assist patients in reaching their maximum performance levels in the areas of leisure education, adaptive recreation, and recreational activities.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' individual needs and abilities to develop goal-oriented treatment plans.
  • Work within an interdisciplinary team to complete the recreational therapy plan of care.
  • Develop and implement diversionary activity programs as needed.
  • Support efforts for patients' social integration during rehabilitation stay.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation Administration, or an equivalent program.
  • Certification-eligible by the Consortium for Therapeutic Recreation/Activity Certification (CTRS) or National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) or hold a Master's Degree in a related field.
